Saratoga Springs Camping
Upstate New York, specifically Saratoga Springs, offers great camping for large

back in touch with nature!
The Adirondack Adventure Resorts offer beautiful Recreational Vehicle camping
as well as tenting and cabins. Resorts like these offer amenities such as a
playground for your little ones and nature trails for adventurers of all ages!
The Alpine Lake Recreational Vehicle Resort offers a restaurant for those whole
prefer vacations to include some one else cooking dinner, and an out door pool.
The Lake George Recreational Vehicle Park, Inc. offers cable TV and a workout
room if you’d like to do some exercising indoors during your stay.
Campsites such as the Autumn Moon Campgrounds offer such scenic views of the
region it’s hard to say no. The fall foliage is breathtaking, and the
clear nights are some of the most relaxing around. The Mt. Kenyon Camping Resort
caters specifically to families! It’s a great place to get in touch with
the great outdoors while also reaching out to your family. They offer horseback
riding, and with their campground landscaped into Kenyon Mountain it’s
a trail ride you won’t want to miss. River Road Campground is a great
place to just get away and unwind. With historic views of the Hudson River and
plenty of fishing, it offers a wide range of activities from boating to just
lounging around the pool.

Within driving distance of all of these campgrounds are many state parks if
you feel your campground doesn’t have all you’re looking for. Saratoga
Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs is of course the closest and offers amazing
opportunities. They have three different pools to choose from including a main
pool that is handicapped accessible, a slide pool with a 19’ double slide,
and a children’s wading pool with a mushroom fountain. And if your little
one isn’t so fond of the water, they have a playground to occupy their
time! Saratoga Spa State Park has beautiful scenery as well.
If you are so inclined and want to get out and walk or run in the great outdoors,
the park has nature trails along streams where you can observe the world around
you from a different perspective. If running or jogging is your thing, they
have certified trails that both high school and college athletes use as well.
In the winter there’s ice skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing
for those who love the wintry chill. For those of you who prefer being outside
during the warmer months, Saratoga State Park offers both a eighteen hole and
a nine hole golf course.
Also near by is Moreau State Park. This state park does offer camping, with
tent sites, recreational vehicle sites, and cabins as well. Here you can float
the day away with boat rentals all summer long, or you can stay on the land
and lounge at the beach for which the park provides lounges and umbrellas for
renting. Also for rent on a daily basis is their 120 person pavilion, as well
as three 35-40 person tents. If you’re thinking of having that big family
reunion with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and then some…you might want
to think about Moreau State Park.
They also offer all of the other activities you might think of when going camping.
There’s fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing
and of course a playground. There’s even hunting allowed in select areas
of the park only during regulated seasons of course. And of course if you don’t
want to get too close to the outdoors, they do have cabins fully equipped with
a shower, screened in porch, and a fireplace.
It’s always been said that Upstate New York is a beautiful place to get
out and enjoy the outdoors, and Saratoga Springs is just the place to do that.
